High-flying Sergio hits the heights in Doha!

Doha (QATAR): Sergio Garcia hit the heights in Doha yesterday (Tuesday) with a tee shot from the roof of one of the most distinctive buildings in the Qatari capital that officially launched the 2010 Commercialbank Qatar Masters, presented by Dolphin Energy.
The world number 14 braved the warm desert winds to fire a booming tee shot from the top of the 148m, eight month-old Commercialbank Plaza building in the heart of the business district of Doha.
Organised by the Qatar Golf Association and the Qatar Olympic Committee in association with the title sponsors Commercialbank, the $2.5 million tournament, gets underway at Doha Golf Club from Thursday (January 28).
“It was certainly wind-assisted and fortunately I’m not afraid of heights,” smiled Garcia. “The Commercialbank Qatar Masters has the habit to be windy and if it blows up like it’s supposed to this week then it will be very challenging. I like the course, I’ve done OK here in the past without winning and I am excited to be here. It’s a case of being patient and hopefully getting a good result.”
In Doha, Garcia will be one of a 126-man field that is one of the strongest ever seen in the Middle East with eighteen of the world’s top 50 competing for the Mother of Pearl Trophy – including five of the top ten in the shape of Lee Westwood, Martin Kaymer, Henrik Stenson, Paul Casey and Ian Poulter.
