Real Estate Projects

The Pearl-Qatar

United Development Company (UDC) is the Master Developer of this multi-billion USD man-made island covering 985 acres (400 hectares) of reclaimed land located approximately 6kms to the north of West Bay.  It is Qatar’s first international real estate venture and the first to offer international investors freehold residential rights to the international community. 
The Pearl-Qatar is a four-phase mixed-use development comprising ten distinct, themed districts housing beachfront villas, elegant town homes, luxury apartments, exclusive penthouses, 5 star hotels, marinas, schools as well as upscale retail and restaurant offerings.  When fully developed, the island will be home to 40,000 residents.  Target completion date is 2009.

Lagoon Plaza

Locally referred to as the Zigzag Towers, this Dar project features two 34-storey towers that soar 168 metres into the Doha skyline and provide a combination of residential apartments for rent and leasehold ownership.  With spectacular views over the golf course, Lusail and The Pearl-Qatar, Lagoon Plaza offers shopping complexes, comprehensive entertainment and sporting facilities, cinemas and children’s play areas.

Urjuan

Urjuan has become the focus of a new city development named after the precious color of royalty. An eco-friendly community with a dynamic mixed use area, self sustaining commercial and retail district featuring specialty shops, 18-hole golf course, restaurants and 5-star business and resort hotels. A community of 65,000 people, Urjuan is only 40 minutes from the heart of Doha.

Dubai Towers-Doha

An exclusive 90-storey mixed-use corporate tower located on the Corniche and comprising 230 residential apartments. Completion is scheduled for late 2010.

Lusail

The city of Lusail, which comprises ten distinct districts, has been master planned by Qatari Diar, a government owned, Doha based, investment and development body which is also the master developer, responsible for the provision of the main infrastructure.
Constructed on 32kms2 of prime waterfront real estate and located approximately 8kms to the north of West Bay, Lusail will provide an integrated, relaxed living environment combining residential, commercial, hospitality and entertainment districts.  It is estimated that the city will eventually accommodate 200,000 people either working or living within its limits.  The first property handovers are scheduled to start in 2009.
 

18 Leasehold Areas:

Expatriates can now own leasehold properties (including residential units) for a maximum of 99 years renewable.

A new Registration office has been  established within the Doha Municipality – Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Agriculture, building to deal with Leasehold regulations.
