Wafapoints Terms and Conditions
1. ENROLLMENT
(a) Eligibility for a Wafapoints Card shall be subject to the prevailing Card terms and conditions and the prevailing Qatar Airways Privilege Club criteria, terms and conditions.
(b) You must apply for a credit card for application of a Wafapoints Card.
(c) Principal as well as Supplementary Cardholders are entitled to receive a Wafapoints Card.
2. THE PROGRAMME
(a) The Wafapoints programme is operated by Commercialbank and the prevailing criteria, terms and conditions for the Wafapoints Programme may be amended at any time at the absolute discretion of Commercialbank.
(b) Continuation of the Wafapoints programme is conditional upon continuation of an agreement to such effect between us and the Wafapoints Merchant. We do not guarantee the unconditional continuance of the Wafapoints programme which may be ceased at any time.
3. CARD UTILISATION
(a) Use of the Card shall be subject to these Terms.
(b) Upon receipt of the PIN you must change the PIN to a number of your choice .
4. Wafapoints ACCUMULATION
(a) Wafapoints may be accumulated at merchant outlets who participate in the Wafapoints programme (details of such merchants can be found here).
(b) Wafapoints will be accumulated at a rate of 10 Wafapoint to QR.1
5. Wafapoints REDEMPTION
(a) To redeem Wafapoints you must present your Wafapoints Card at the time of purchasing goods or services by way of redeeming points previously accumulated on the card.
(b) Wafapoints may be redeemed by the purchase of goods or services at merchant outlets who participate in the Wafapoints programme (details of such merchants can be found here).
(c) Wafapoints will be redeemed at a rate of 10 Wafapoint to QR.1
(d) We, and any participating merchant, reserve the right to refuse redemption of points, in particular if we have reason to believe the accumulation of Wafapoints was done fraudulently.
6. REFUNDS
(a) In the event you refund any goods or services purchased at a merchant outlet for which you were awarded Wafapoints you must present your Card and your Wafapoints receipt –generated from the wafapoints POS terminal to the merchant to allow for the deduction of the awarded Wafapoints.
(b) In the event that there are insufficient Wafapoints accumulated on the Card for deduction, the cash refund made to you shall be reduced at the rate of QR.0.10 for each Wafapoint awarded but unable to be deducted.
(c) In the event the refund is in a method other than payment in cash you must pay the Rewards Partner QR 0.1 for each and every point that cannot be deducted from the Card.
7. Wafapoints TRANSFER
You may only transfer Wafapoints to Qmiles upon written request to us.
8. STATEMENTS
(a) The statement shall be deemed to be conclusive evidence of all transactions accumulating and/or redeeming Wafapoints unless you notify us otherwise in writing within thirty (30) days of the statement date.
9. Wafapoints CARD CANCELLATION
In the event your Wafapoints account is cancelled you shall not be entitled to accumulate or redeem Wafapoints from the effective date of cancellation and Wafapoints accumulated up to the effective date of termination but unutilised shall be automatically cancelled.
10. LIABILITY
(a) If the merchant participating in the Wafapoints Programme is found liable for any misconduct by operation of law or otherwise, liability shall be limited to the value of any points lost, determined at an exchange rate of one (1) Point being equivalent to ten (10) Qatari Dirhams (QR 0.10).
(b) We shall not be liable for:
i. refusal by any merchant participating in the Wafapoints programme to permit redemption of Wafapoints;
ii. actions of any merchant participating in the Wafapoints programme;
iii. disputes between you and any merchant participating in the Wafapoints programme;
11. GENERAL
These terms shall apply to all Wafapoints transactions (including redemptions) within the State of Qatar and any foreign merchant establishments participating in the Wafapoints Programme.
